The bracket is what actually holds your curtain up. We stock ceiling brackets, single wall brackets and double wall brackets for curtain tracks, and we choose between them after looking at what your ceiling and walls are made of.
A double wall bracket carries two tracks — a blackout and a sheer — from one set of fixings.

Will a curtain track hold in a gypsum ceiling?
Not reliably on the gypsum alone. We fix through to the concrete slab above, or use wall brackets if the slab cannot be reached.
What is a double wall bracket for?
It carries two tracks from one set of fixings, so you can hang a blackout curtain behind a sheer on the same window.
How far apart should brackets be?
Near each end and at regular intervals between. Heavy blackout fabric and long runs need them closer so the track does not bow.
Can you supply brackets on their own?
Yes, for our own tracks. We match the bracket to the track profile so it clips on securely.

The three brackets we use
- Ceiling bracket — fixes the track directly to the ceiling. The cleanest look, and the one that lets the curtain fall from the highest point.
- Single wall bracket — projects one track off the wall where the ceiling cannot take a fixing.
- Double wall bracket — carries two tracks from one fixing, for a layered blackout-and-sheer window.
Why the fixing matters more than the bracket
A bracket is only as strong as what it is screwed into. In the UAE many homes have gypsum false ceilings, which will not hold a loaded track on their own. We fix through to the slab above where we can, or move to a wall bracket where we cannot. That decision is made at the measuring visit, not on the day of fitting.
How many you need
Brackets go near each end of the track and at regular intervals in between. Heavier fabric and longer runs need them closer together, otherwise the track bows and the runners bind halfway across.

Curtain track brackets: ceiling or wall, single or double
Choosing curtain track brackets in Dubai starts with the ceiling, not the curtain. Most apartments and many villas here have a gypsum false ceiling hanging below the concrete slab, and gypsum on its own will not carry a loaded track for long. The bracket, and what it is screwed into, is what keeps a curtain up.
Ceiling bracket
A ceiling curtain bracket gives the cleanest result. The track tucks tight against the ceiling, and the curtain falls from the highest point in the room, which makes the window look taller. Where the slab can be reached, we fix through the gypsum into the concrete above.
Single wall bracket
A curtain track wall bracket projects the track forward off the wall. It is the right choice when the ceiling cannot take a fixing, or when a bulkhead, air-conditioning grille or recessed light is in the way of a ceiling track.
Double wall bracket
A double wall bracket for a curtain carries two tracks from a single fixing. It is the usual way to layer a blackout curtain behind a sheer: both tracks stay parallel, the curtains pass each other without touching, and the wall is drilled once instead of twice.
Spacing and strength
Type is only half the decision. Brackets need to sit near each end of the track and at regular intervals between, and heavy blackout fabric or long runs need them closer together. Too few brackets and the track bows, the runners bind halfway across, and the curtain has to be dragged.
