An aluminium curtain track is the quiet part of a good curtain: a rigid channel the runners glide along, fixed to the ceiling or wall so the curtain stacks clear of the glass. We hold it in white and black, cut it to the exact width of your window and fit it with the runners, end caps and brackets it needs.

It suits every heading we make, from pinch pleat to wave, and it is the same track we use under our own made-to-measure curtains.

Can you cut the track to my window?
Yes. We measure at your home and cut the track so it runs past the glass on both sides. That lets the curtain stack clear of the window instead of blocking light.
White or black track — which should I choose?
White disappears against a white ceiling and is the usual choice. Black makes the track a deliberate line and suits dark joinery, black window frames or a feature wall.
Does it work with wave curtains?
Yes, with wave runners and wave tape. The runners are linked at a fixed spacing so the curtain forms even folds.
Can I buy the track without curtains?
Yes. We supply and fit track on its own, cut to size with brackets, runners and end caps.

What the track is

The profile is a hollow aluminium channel with a slot along the underside. Runners sit inside it and carry the curtain hooks, so the fabric moves on wheels rather than dragging on a pole. Because the channel is enclosed, dust stays out of the running surface and the curtain keeps moving freely for years.

We keep it in white, which disappears against a painted ceiling, and black, which reads as a deliberate line against dark joinery or a feature wall.

Lengths and cutting

The track arrives in 6 metre lengths. We cut it to the finished width at your home after measuring, so the curtain runs past the glass on both sides and stacks clear of the window. Runs longer than one length are joined and supported so the track stays straight.

What comes with it

Which heading it carries

For a pinch pleat or pencil pleat curtain the runners take metal pinch pleat hooks or a hook curtain tape. For a wave curtain the runners are linked by a spacing cord and paired with wave curtain runners and wave curtain tape, which gives the even S-shaped folds.

Ceiling or wall fixing

A ceiling fix hides the track inside a pelmet or recess and lets the curtain fall from the highest point, which makes a room look taller. A wall fix is right where the ceiling will not take a fixing, such as some gypsum false ceilings. We check what the ceiling is made of before choosing.

Prefer it motorised? The electric curtain track uses the same principle with a motor at one end.

See every track option on the curtain tracks and rails page, or book a free home visit and we will measure and quote on the spot.

Aluminium curtain track: choosing, cutting and fixing it right

An aluminium curtain track in Dubai has more to carry than most, because blackout linings and floor-to-ceiling glass are the norm in apartments and villas here. The track takes the full weight of the curtain, so the profile, the brackets and the spacing between them matter as much as the fabric you choose.

Why aluminium

Aluminium is light, rigid and does not rust, which is why it has become the standard for ceiling-fixed curtains across the UAE. It stays straight under heavy fabric, it copes with humidity near the coast, and its enclosed channel keeps dust off the running surface so the runners glide for years.

White or black

A white curtain track disappears against a painted ceiling and is the usual choice for bedrooms and living rooms. A black curtain track turns the hardware into a deliberate line, which suits black window frames, dark joinery and feature walls.

Getting the length right

We supply the track as a curtain track 6m length and cut it on site to the finished width. The track should extend past the glass on both sides, usually by 15 to 20 cm, so the stacked curtain rests on the wall instead of across the window. Runs longer than one length are joined and supported at regular intervals so the track does not bow in the middle.

Matching the heading

The track is the same for most headings; what changes is how the curtain attaches. Pinch pleat curtains hang on metal hooks, pencil pleat curtains on hook tape, and wave curtains on linked runners with snap tape. Choosing the right combination is what makes a curtain glide instead of snag.

We supply and fit aluminium track across Dubai, Sharjah and the other emirates, with every made-to-measure curtain or on its own.

Motorised track in the bedroom. Works well and is quieter than I expected. The remote pairing took two visits to get right, hence four stars, but they came back the same week and sorted it.

Excellent fabric and fitting. Communication in the week before the visit could have been slightly better, but the work itself is faultless.

Full villa, eleven windows. They handled it in one day with three fitters. Having their own warehouse stock clearly made the difference on the timeline.

The dressing of the pleats after hanging is what I noticed. They tied them and left them to set, then came back to release them. Nobody else offered that.

Fitted nearly a year ago. The colour has not faded on the window that gets direct afternoon sun, which is what I was most worried about.

Two tracks in the bedroom, sheer in front. The sun comes straight into that window in the morning and now it is completely manageable.

Ordered on a Monday, fitted on the Friday. Five days from measuring to hanging, exactly as they said. The blackout is genuine — the room is dark at noon.

My daughter used to wake at 5:30 with the sun. First morning after the fitting she slept until 7. That alone was worth it. Fabric is from book 303 and it feels much heavier than what I was shown elsewhere.

Good price, good fabric and a team that turned up when they said. There is not much more to ask for.

Two bedrooms and the majlis, all catalogue 302. The team measured on the Saturday and fitted the following Thursday. What I did not expect was how much cooler the west bedroom is now in the afternoon — the AC stopped running constantly.

Wave track along a six-metre window. The folds stay perfectly uniform whether open or closed. It is the detail that makes the whole room look finished.

Quoted, fitted and invoiced with no surprises. The fitters removed all the packaging and took the old rail away with them.
