What happens after you get in touch

Someone calls you back, usually the same day and always within one working day, to agree a time for the measuring visit. Nothing is quoted over the phone, because a price given without seeing the window is a guess that gets revised later — which is the complaint we hear most often about this trade.

At the visit our team brings all four fabric books, measures every window you want covered, checks what the ceiling will take, and leaves you with one written figure. It usually takes under an hour and there is nothing to sign.

The fastest route

WhatsApp, in practice. It reaches the same people as the phone but it lets you send a photo of the window, which answers half the questions before anyone drives anywhere. If you already know roughly what you want, the price estimator will give you a figure in about a minute.

What to have ready

None of this is required, but it makes the first reply useful instead of a request for more information:

• Your emirate and community — it decides which day we can offer you. See the areas we cover.
• Roughly how many windows, so we book the right length of visit. A one-bedroom apartment and a five-bedroom villa are not the same appointment.
• A photo of the window, if you have one. It answers more than a description does — particularly whether there is wall above the glass, which decides whether you are looking at a track or a pole.
• What the room is for. A bedroom you want dark and a living room you sit in all day lead to different recommendations.

Which channel for what

WhatsApp is fastest for booking a slot and for sending photos. The price estimator is faster than any of us if all you want is a number for a window size. The enquiry form on this page is best when you have several windows to describe or want a written record. All three reach the same people.

If you already have curtains

A good share of what we fit is replacing curtains that are only a year or two old, and the reason is almost always the fitting rather than the fabric — a track that stopped at the edge of the glass, or a curtain that finishes at the sill. If that sounds like your situation, it is worth reading where the light actually gets in before you replace anything, because the fabric may not be the problem.
