The second image drapes this shade's own photograph on a window to show the colour gathered into folds. It is a visualisation, not a photograph of a fitted job — and cloth backlit by your own glass reads differently again, which is why we bring the book to you.

How this shade behaves on a window
If you want one shade that will not argue with anything, this is the range to pick from. Marks and dust both need contrast to show, and a mid tone gives neither much to work with. It is the safest choice when several rooms are being done at once. There is enough warmth in the base to stop it going cold under lamplight, a common complaint with grey curtains after dark.
A double-layer treatment puts a sheer in front and this blackout behind, and the back layer is doing all the light-blocking work. Because it is rarely seen fully closed in daylight, people often spend less time choosing it than the sheer — which is backwards, since the blackout is the layer that determines whether the room actually goes dark.
Where it sits in the book
Ranked by lightness it is the 13th of 22 — in the middle of the tonal range. Closest to it are Mauve Greige and Sand Greige, worth comparing side by side if you are undecided.
Rooms and layering
The all-rounder. Bedrooms, living rooms, majlis — and if you are covering several rooms and want a single fabric running through all of them, this is the tonal range to choose from.
Where a second layer is wanted, the chiffon sheers in catalogue 401 go in front of this. A blackout in this range takes almost any sheer, so pick the front layer on how bright you want the room by day rather than on matching.
Looking after it
Mid tones are the least demanding shades to own: neither dust nor finger marks find enough contrast to show. A brush-head vacuum every few weeks is genuinely all it needs, and it will look the same in year five as in year one.
Book 302 is our plain blackout — flat, uniform colour across the whole drop. Nothing in the surface asks for attention, which is exactly what you want when the curtain is meant to be background. At 300 gsm it is the heaviest of the three. Every shade in the book is the same price, and our team brings the physical Book 302 to your home free so you can judge it against your own glass.

This is shade 302-07 itself, gathered into folds and lit — not a colour swatch. The other 21 shades of book 302 are beside it, so you can put Blush Oat Cream next to the ones it is easily confused with.

All 22 are the same fabric and the same price — only the colour changes.

Blush Oat Cream — Choosing the layer nobody sees
On a double track this blackout sits behind the sheer, so it is rarely seen fully closed in daylight. People therefore spend less time choosing it than the sheer, which is the wrong way round: the blackout determines whether the room actually goes dark.
Choose the blackout on performance and weight first. It is the layer doing the work, and at 300 gsm this book is the most substantial option we hold.
