302 is the plain weave — flat, even colour with no pattern and no texture. That sounds like the least interesting of the three books and it is comfortably the one we sell most of, because a plain blackout does something the others cannot: it disappears. It recedes into a wall instead of competing with it, which is exactly what you want when the room already has a lot going on.
The range leans cool and neutral — whites, greiges, a long run of greys through to Charcoal — with a few warmer stones and taupes in the middle. If your interior is grey flooring and white walls, this is the book that will sit against it without an argument.
Bedrooms, above everything else. A plain fabric in a mid or pale tone darkens the room completely while keeping it feeling calm, and it does not draw the eye the way a jacquard does when you are trying to sleep.
It is also the sensible choice for a rental or a handover property, because a plain neutral will suit whatever furniture arrives after you.
The flat surface shows finger marks along the leading edge more readily than a textured weave, so a tie-back earns its keep here — it keeps hands off the cloth. Otherwise vacuum with a brush head and dry clean when it needs it.

Book 302 is our plain blackout range, 22 shades of flat, even weave. Where book 301 has surface interest, 302 is deliberately quiet — it is the book people choose when the curtain should not be the thing you notice.
In a bedroom, a plain blackout recedes into the wall and lets the room stay calm. In a room with patterned furniture, a busy rug or wallpaper, it stops the window competing. It is also the easiest of the three blackout books to match to paint, because there is no texture shifting the colour as the light moves.
