The dressing of the pleats after hanging is what I noticed. They tied them and left them to set, then came back to release them. Nobody else offered that.

All 22 textured blackout shades, drawn across a real window and lit the way cloth behaves. The swatch grid above shows the cloth flat; this shows it gathered, which is how you will actually see it.
What the 301 book is for
301 is the textured blackout. Run your hand across it and you can feel the grain — a deliberate slub in the weave that catches light differently along the leading edge of each fold. That texture is doing practical work as well as decorative: it breaks up reflections, so the curtain never looks flat under a downlight, and it disguises the small creases every curtain picks up from being drawn twice a day.
The range runs from Bright White through the creams and apricots into the greys, finishing at Charcoal. It is the widest tonal spread of our three blackout books, which is why it is the one we reach for when a customer wants the same fabric family through a whole villa but a different depth of colour in each room.
Where it works best
Living rooms and majlis, where the curtain covers a large part of the wall and a flat fabric would read as a slab. It also performs well on very tall windows, because the texture gives the eye something to follow down a four-metre drop.
In a small bedroom the texture matters less and a plain weave from 302 is usually the better value.
Living with it
Vacuum with a brush head every few weeks. The grain holds slightly more dust than a flat weave, which is the trade-off for hiding creases. Dry clean rather than machine wash so the texture keeps its body.

Book 301 textured blackout curtains in Dubai: what the texture changes
Book 301 is our textured blackout range — 22 shades of made-to-measure blackout curtain fabric held in the UAE. If you are comparing blackout curtains in Dubai, the difference between this book and book 302 is surface rather than performance: both stop the same amount of light.
Why texture matters on a large window
A textured weave catches light unevenly, which hides creases and the small irregularities that show on a wide, flat expanse of cloth. On full-height glazing or a long villa window, that is the practical reason to choose 301 over a plain weave. It also gives the curtain more presence when it is stacked back, because the folds read as fabric rather than as a block of colour.
Buying from this book
Every shade in book 301 costs the same to make up — the price of blackout curtains in Dubai moves with the width of the track and the fullness the heading needs, not with the colour you pick. Quotes cover fabric, tailoring, track and installation as one figure, and the estimator prices your own window before anyone visits.
Choosing a shade
Mid neutrals hold their colour longest in Gulf light, and pale shades in this book block light just as completely as the dark ones because the blackout layer is woven in. Judge the shade against your own wall — the book comes to the home on the free visit, with the other three catalogues if you want to compare texture against plain or jacquard.
